A few weeks back I had the honor of attending the Investec Day of Dreams racing event. I love attending any equestrian events because my little nephew is a budding horse rider (and happens to be my bestie .  I have a new found respect for any horse riding sport, whether a race or a polo match. 

I usually attend the events to watch the horses perform of course but also to see all the race day fashion. What I loved about this event was the chic black and white theme and the sit down lunch we enjoyed inside the tent. It was really the epitome of glamour!

I had a little outfit malfunction before the event – which you would have never suspected as I whipped up this look from a few items in my closet. The hat was custom designed for me by Jacqueline at JK Milliners. Investec had filmed my entire process of having my hat made and attending the event – the video is loaded above.

Compared to all the other equestrian events I have attended in the past year this was by far the best event yet! I hope you guys get to join me at next year’s racing event season.
