The BakedTheBlog team and I went for a little lunch at Babelonstoren the other day. One of my favorite little gems in Cape Town, we snuck in a few shots before heading to lunch at the greenhouse. I imagined this is what I would wear to a safari out in the Sahara – had I been out there.

About This Look

H&M launched their exclusive sustainable collection in South Africa’s flagship H&M store, the V&A waterfront this week and we were lucky enough to be able to pull a few pieces from the collection to style and play with. I only had a few hours to shoot and I really wish we could have shot EVERYTHING because its all so amazing. Have a look at their video, here ,with the full collection and story behind how it was conceptualized and made.

The skirt from the sustainable collection I am pictured wearing here is silver and beaded. All beads are made from recycled glassware! I felt like it was something great to wear with a shirt of any shade to a wedding or just to lunch with the girls, if you’re dramatic with your fashion choices – like me.  I would style this with a denim shirt or white shirt and blazer for the office. The options are truly endless.

I was wearing a pair of earrings on my instagram which I took off for lunch – I have a weird habit removing jewelry when I eat – so I haven’t captured them here. I am so sad they’re left out but check them on my instagram @bakedtheblog. They’re made from recycled compressed denim! Honestly just magical.

Check back next week for more amazing images from this collection.
